So, I turned 20 yesterday...
And I realize that I made plans way too early in my life. Not goals, but plans. I made plans that couldn’t matter any less to me now. Also, I thought I’d feel older. But now, getting older only reminds me of how much younger I am than other people in my life. It’s cool though. Ce n’est pas grave. But sometimes I wish that I were old enough to think that it’s funny...

I work in youth development in (as is so often the case) an office filled with women. Any younger child - male or female - spurs an overwhelming chorus oohs and ahhs, but this is probably a better way to communicate with kids from both genders to overcome our culture’s overemphasis on appearance. By miniscule degress, of course, but isn’t that how it’s always done?
